Hello there!

 

I’m Mils, a strategic design leader with 21+ years’ experience in UX, product, and experience design across EdTech, SaaS, and media. I specialise in AI-powered, human-centred, and ethically guided design, leading remote-first, multi-disciplinary teams to deliver scalable, customer-centric experiences and measurable business impact.

Currently, I serve as Head of UX & Accessibility for the Pearson Qualifications Division, overseeing UX, research, service design, design ops, and accessibility. I lead initiatives to integrate AI across workflows, create personalised, seamless customer journeys, and deliver innovative AI-driven experiences, including conversational UIs and AI tutor platforms. I embed inclusive design and accessibility (WCAG, EAA 2025) into all products and mentor diverse design talent globally.

Previously, I led Tes as Global Head of Product Design & UX, driving its transformation from publishing to EdTech/SaaS, introducing product-led growth strategies and rapid prototyping and testing workflows. Earlier, at Maple Syrup Media (Quidco, Shoop), I enhanced personalised customer experiences, optimised transactional revenue, and delivered award-winning apps and digital platforms. I also previously served as Non-Executive Director at MAGENTAVERSE CIC, advising on strategy, governance, and UX/accessibility.

I am passionate about mentoring emerging leaders, championing inclusive design, and advancing AI-driven innovation across teams and products.
